Explanation of Christian Position

The main theory of the Christian position in how life started is called

creationism. This wagon word carries along with it many sub-categories like all

great wagon-words. But the main point of this theory has God being involved in

how life started.

The subgroups of creationism are flat earthers, geocentrists, young earth

creationists, omphalos, old earth creationists, gap creationism, day-age

creationism, progressive creationism, intelligent design creationism,

evolutionary creationists, theistic evolutionists, methodological materialistic

evolutionists, philosophical materialistic evolutionists. Flat earthers believe that

the earth is flat by referring to the Bible in a literal term like “the four corners

of earth.” Geocentrists accepts the view that the earth is round, but denies that

the sun is in the middle of the universe. Young earth creationists believe that

the earth is 6000 to 10000 years old and also 6 day creation. Omphalos

adherents believe that the earth looks old because the soil and physical features

were made to look old. Old earth creationists believe that the earth is ancient

but everything is still made by God. Gap creationists believe there is a long gap

between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. Day age creationists believe that the 6 days used to

create the universe is not a 24-hour day, but rather thousands or millions of

years long. Believe God created species from time on and adding newer ones.

Intelligent design creationism believes that everything is created by God.

Evolutionary creationists believe that nature has no independence from God’s

will. Theistic evolution believes that God creates through evolution.

Methodological materialistic creationists believe that God created evolution to

happen on its own.

To sum the theory of creationism off, God made life. God was always here to

start with and without God, there will be no life.
